TRACKS
Fifteen albums. A magazine. A podcast. A live show. A sci-fi book. One unbroken practice.
01 — THE SCOPE
ONE ARTIST.
ONE PRACTICE.
FIFTEEN YEARS.
Whatever brought you here is one entry point into something much larger.
ProfessorClock is the character, archivist, and time-traveling presence at the center of the universe. Damien Lamar is the creator — Florida-bred by way of New York, three decades spanning vocalist and band frontman to transmedia universe architect. The QUANTUMFORWARD album you may know, or the magazine article that led you here, or the venue listing you found — these are access points into a single, unbroken body of work that has been in continuous motion since 2010.

"This isn't a discography. It's a living archive. Every release advances the same research."
— ProfessorClock
02 — THE METHOD
NOT AESTHETIC.
FUNCTIONAL.
The recurring references to time, frequency, and ancestry are not decoration. They are tools.
ProfessorClock operates inside a research practice built on four interlocking systems. Each album, each issue of the magazine, each live transmission maps onto this same framework. You can engage at the surface level — the music is a complete experience — but the deeper you go, the more coherent the structure becomes.
BLACK DATA
African diasporic knowledge systems encoded as usable research protocol. Ancestral memory as functional data, not metaphor.
NOW:TIME
A calendrical framework where present-moment consciousness is treated as a navigable frequency. The clock is a map.
ON THE NINES
A release cycle locked to 9-based intervals and 28-day moons. Every output aligns to the same temporal logic.
G.R.I.D.
Geo-Metron Relocation Inter-Spacial Devise — the conceptual engine powering the time travel mechanics of the NAOPC universe.
"The G.R.I.D. is not science fiction. It is a working schematic for how this music moves through time."
— ProfessorClock · Session XV
03 — THE ORIGIN
GRIEF TO
FREQUENCY.
This work did not begin as a career plan. It began because no existing world fit what needed to be made.
Florida-bred, shaped by New York, Damien Lamar spent three decades as a vocalist, band frontman, radio host, and civic arts director before arriving at a singular question: what world could hold the work that needed to be made? In 2010–2011, following a personal loss, the answer was not an album — it was a complete cosmology. One in which African ancestors exist as data. One in which time is a frequency you can tune to. One in which grief is not an ending but a starting coordinate.
THE 15-YEAR ARC
A personal loss. The world as it existed could not hold the grief or the frequency needed to process it.
Session I — the first NAOPC album. Not a debut. A declaration that a new world would have to be built.
Sessions V–VIII. The methodology solidifies. Black Data and the 28-day cycle become formal working tools.
The Interim Protocols. Sessions IX–XII. The archive expands. The Digest launches. The universe acquires a magazine.
Time Traveler's Digest enters its third year. A community forms around the research.
Session XV — QUANTUMFORWARD. The 15-year mandate completes. The first full-cycle closes.
